The Tactical Athlete
This program is designed to enhance the physical capabilities and increase the mental fortitude of higher level athletes, soldiers, emergency service personnel and those keen to push the limits to the levels required by our elite.
The Tactical Athlete is, functionally fit across a broad range of dynamics, they have the strength and ability required to match it in the gym, the functional fitness to employ their body like the machine it is, the endurance to maintain controlled physical composure over extended periods and the mental fortitude and resilience to maintain a level head under physical and mental stress.
This program requires a very good level of physical fitness, it was designed to prepare our Soldiers and Emergency Service personnel for specialist roles within their services. We conducted research into why people were pulling off these course, then designed this program specifically to target this space. This is not to say that anyone cannot challenge themselves to see just what they are made of.
Tactical Athletes: Military & Police, First Responders, Fire Fighters, Combat Sports Athletes & (Team) Sports Athletes or the general public looking to push their boundaries.

What to expect:
- Strength training
- Functional circuits and specific exercise techniques
- Swimming for strength, endurance and recovery
- Weighted and non weighted running
- pack marching - progressive out to distance <20km
- To be challenged both physically and mentally
What you need:
- The ability to think outside the box and improvise with equipment and workouts
- Gym access
- Pool access
- Weighted vest or military style webbing
- Pack or rucksack (heavy duty backpack able to hold up to 25kg)
- Torsion bar
- Various other equipment.
If you're looking for a challenge or aspiring for a specialist unit and you have a good level of fitness, this program is for you.

After some consultation with Sam, we decided this program was the best suited for me and after 2 months in I can honestly say this is the best functional programme I have EVER followed. I have not only improved strength and fitness but my mental toughness has been improved to no end. I have been lucky enough that even though gyms are closed with a few adaptions I have been able to continue this programme from my gym at home and results speak for themselves. Can't wait to see what the next three months bring but am excited and look for to the end result. Industrial fitness will be a long term partnership for me.
I can’t fault Sams customer service. He is always quick to reply to any questions regarding the program or anything else and also happy to suggest alternative exercises if I don’t have the right gear. The program itself is absolutely awesome!! Can’t fault it!!! It does require discipline and determination but the results are absolutely worth it!!! Honestly can’t fault any of what industrial fitness do!!

Having recently completed the Strength and Conditioning program, I can honestly say I was pretty stoked with the strength improvements from that block. So after a bit of consultation with Sam, decided on the Tactical Athlete program next, and wow.... right out the blocks that comfort zone was being smashed. The warning at the beginning of this program says it all, "whilst open to everyone - is not recommended for the feint hearted...This program will be hard, you will have to improvise, but just like everything we do here, you will achieve results." This program Is HARD. But worth it !!!
